I meant that Megan is an allegory in that all of the problems fans have with Kevin and Patrick being together are voiced by her. A lot of the moral standing and issues with their relationship stem from the fact that they are cheaters/home wreckers and that they have been complicit in the affair. From that stand point

I completely agree that Patrick pushed too hard for Richie to be more to him too fast mostly because he over-reacted and insulted Richie in front of his friends and was in denial about being ashamed of his socio-economical status.

I know, Patrick had very serious reservations about Richie being more to him, and I think that was coming out during the wedding, he was trying to force something that he didn't want and I think Richie picked up on that and ended up leaving. We notice that Patrick is nervous about his mother meeting Kevin too though,

I think Kevin and Patrick are really cute in their apartment scenes together even if that may not be a popular sentiment. I thought the scene with them in the street was a nice juxtaposition between the Richie-Patrick scene during the wedding episode. The way Patrick was able to be calmed by Kevin, during the meet the

I doubt Kevin would be stupid enough to lie to Patrick about John leaving him when John is best friends with Patrick's sister. It would easily get back to Patrick that he lied. It's established in this episode that Patrick has been in contact with her and his sister knows that he is dating Kevin and broke up John and

This was the first episode where I really felt sorry for Richie. Seeing his relationship with Brady and his longing for Patrick was difficult to watch, specifically in the diner scene where he tries to save face with Patrick in their lone moment and his pride is all over the floor, trying to make excuses for Brady —

I completely agree with you that Kevin and Richie are not fully realized characters. We only see of them who they are in relation to Patrick, but I think the show has done a pretty good job in showing us Kevin's flaws and short comings, in addition to showing a likable side that makes him look and seem like a rounded

I actually completely agree with you on how the writers have dealt with Richie this season. I don't believe he fits in the context of the show without some relation to Patrick. Richie and Kevin are essentially fragments who exist solely in relation to Patrick. So we only see parts of them in relation to how they

I don't know where this conversation is going, I'm quite confused as to how this devolved into a kind of stereotype of gay life. I don't think that's the point of the show at all. There's been a comparison of this show to be a kind of 'coming of age' Girls like comedy/drama and I think that fits.

I don't hate Richie at all, but he isn't being written the way everyone else on the show is and that's obvious, which makes him an outlier and it shows that he doesn't fit in with the context of the show. He has no problems, no issues, no conflict to work against and it gives him no progressive character arc to work

In response to what exactly?

I disagree completely,

This was a good episode. I loved the music at the end.
