This is why I will Homebrew it the hell up. Wii was always ABLE to play DVDs, just not without a little bit of software tinkering. Wii uses DVD discs, just formatted in an odd way. I'm betting Wii U will be the same with Blu-Ray discs. All you need is to download into it the right program.

I'll admit there have been a lot of shit Sonic games lately, however, I have to say... Sonic Colors was kickass. I never played the 2006 Sonic, but Secret Rings was subpar, Sonic 4 was decent, and Unleashed and Black Knight were pretty much unplayable. Sonic Colors though... It was awesome.
