I should have said WE aren’t going away. Having gone through the process some 15 years ago, the differences I see in acceptance and understanding from the vast majority of people is absolutely incredible. Imagine having insurance pay for medical intervention! Five years from now, it will be no big thing anymore.

I think seeing trans kids will make a world of difference because of their ability to blend. No longer will the witchhunt be able to single them out because they don’t look like girls (or eventually women). Its’ really really hard to argue with someone who looks entirely like their stated gender.

There are tons of trans kids stories on YT, and the numbers keep growing. I think the sheer volume of these stories will, over time, reduce the antagonism towards them and trans people in general. Kind of like exposure therapy.
