SDV8 sounds ok, but there’s no disguising it’s a diesel at idle. Of course, many people like that sound, because it’s purposeful.

Makes sense if you’re doing anything properly remote I guess. That certainly wouldn’t apply to most of the RRs sold in the UK - I doubt 99.9% are ever more than 30 miles from a fuel supply.

I’ve literally just come from a thread on a UK forum (PH) speculating about why anyone with the $$$ for such a beast would care so much about fuel consumption that they’d voluntarily lumber it with a clattery diesel engine. Y’all are pretty strange over there.

Can you legally remove those bumpers? They utterly ruin an otherwise great looking car.

I always find it weird when y’all call a RR a “Rover”. In the UK, that means something quite different, and much shitter.

KDMbro rust

This is good kinja.

According to UK media, our RHD version loses 5hp for technical reasons. (Cos you can’t just flip everything back to front when you change sides.) I don’t know about the Euro LHD version.

I want you to come across the ocean and try the 1.5, and tell us if you agree with the UK journalists who say it’s the better car.

Supercars wouldn’t exist at all if there weren’t rich non-enthusiasts to buy them. The tiny number of enthusiasts with enough money to buy new ones would never support the industry.

Oh look a concept sketch with giant wheels HOW ORIGINAL.

Good post. Maybe we could start by not posting nekkid ladies on every COTD comment section? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE nekkid ladies, but not on my car sites. There’s a time and a place...

Top work on the video. Hilarious.

From this angle it looks almost like a Range Rover with collapsed air suspension.

When you said:

Why do Jalopnik posts always insist on talking about “England”, rather than the UK? Chris Harris is English, but he doesn’t actually live in England - he’s in Wales and that’s where he shoots many of his videos, including this one.

“The asphalt calls...”

That’s a fair point, but reviewers have not been unanimous in their affection for the 4C’s gearbox. It doesn’t sound like it’s one of those cars that should necessarily have a semi-auto, and if it is, it doesn’t sound like it’s got the semi-auto it deserves.

The poster explains that this car’s oil gets changed every three weeks (old Crown Victorias used to get their oil changed every two weeks)

I can’t get enough of that colour.
