I’d pay good money just to see the “crazy/homeless guy at the gas station in pajama pants” scene.
Remember when the Stinger was announced and all the Jalops were planning to buy hugely depreciated used Stingers? Thanks Covid... : /
I prefer all my non-enthusiast stereotypes to come from the early 2000s.
Bad takes on manual transmissions by uninformed “enthusiasts” drives comment engagement... at least.
3-4 christmas tree air fresheners hanging from the rearview mirror is always a good sign.
That Metro is a real strong example of the “Radwood tax” in effect.
It’s low mileage and in nearly new condition, but it wasn’t that good of a car when it was actually new.
It’s still an old car, but rust free and low-ish miles. I would say it’s the correct price, so NP I guess
Love the cloth, love the manual. It’s on the high side for a hard-ridden unicorn, but I’d polish its horn. (Wait… what?)
I’m glad you found the right buyer. It’s funny how certain combinations of parts can scratch a precise type of itch. I had picked up a basket case Kawasaki with no title a few years ago, then found someone a couple hours away who was selling a rolling frame - with title! - for the same model. An engineless motorcycle…
I was already mentally plotting out a trip west from NC, myself.
It’s already sold. A clean 4x4 Ranger that still has 5 digits on the odometer is a steal at $7,000. The seller could have gotten more than that, so I’ll applaud them for not contributing to the market bloat for pre-modern Rangers.
The fuel pump relay is notoriously bad, and when it goes does take other items as it acts as a crash safety switch, killing power. If you can find a wiring diagram the old merc terminals are roughly banana clip sized, so you can make some jumpers. Then with said jumpers simulate a working relay, then you know for sure…
I was trying to remember when that song came out. I knew it was when I was pretty young. Turns out it was in 1966. There was a 45 of it floating around our house. On the B-side was the song played backward.
My favorite thing about this is that the police officers interacting with this future-is-now tech are still driving a Crown Vic.
You mean, make a steer-ing wheel.
And don’t forget the horn.
