As far as I understand it, it was Dr. Clodomiro Picado, a nicaraguan born doctor that later had his nationaloty legally changed to costarican, that discovered the effects of penicillin. This was in 1927. Fleming just got the recognition because his paper was known more than the previously-published work of Dr. Picado.

Here English is forcibly taught beginning in 7th grade, the 1st year of high school (we do a total of 11 years of school, 6 primary, 5 secondary, with some technical schools going up to 6 secondary).…

@Felipe058: I used to work at a Four Seasons kitchen. I have to tell you, there is NOTHING like the smell of freshly baked croissants at 4 30 am. I used to down 2 or 3 of those with a box of orange juice before my shift started.
