@lavardera: In a nutshell the important part is the habitat. A modified organic being that serves as habitat (cities, parks and all that good stuff) living on an asteriod around Jupiter. It feeds of the minerals it eats (the description of the "processing areas" alone is amazing) and has achieved sentience which is…
@techapocalypse: Publicly. Everywhere has everything, it's jus a matter of looking for it. Ot trying to avoid it. Your call.
Double hurricane! Oh My GOooooo.... *flies away along some houses*
@The Overmind: Aw crap...oh well.
Here's my interpretation of this technology (bad paint skillz, sorry)
@Too.Tired.To.Sleep: We have concensus! *shakes hand*
@CanisPugnaxSnores: Maybe he was a extradimetional criminal on top of being a shark. I would like to see him as a mafia boss betrayed by his underlings.
@The Overmind: Arrgh, 2nd try
@Knight_of_Pentacles: And I'll make it a trilogy with Zombie Shark: Rotten Teeth
@Too.Tired.To.Sleep: They're going to need a bigger boat.
@lavardera: Have you checked Peter F. Hamilton's "A Second Chance at Eden"? I believe you would enjoy it. I found that book at a hotel's "give one, take one" book section when I was 8. I still have it 18 years later and read it from time to time, awesome book.
@Hahaue: I first thought of a book I read (see my previous comment) but yeah, the Citadel is a close match too. Maybe both were influenced by the same concepts?
It remids me of the habitat in "A Second Chance at Eden" by Peter F. Hamilton. Great story.
@FriarNurgle: Hence, "Double Rainbow"! Oh my gawd! THAT is what it means!
@musiqrulez: Then we'll move to the "Ha-ha! I use my own power to move you lazy, polluting shmuck!" phase...wait....we're almost there.
@musiqrulez: I think it all boils down to the human nature of wanting other things (mechanical or otherwise) to do your job for you. So it's not that much about the speed, but about the fact that you are moving without you doing the work of moving.
@michael3898: It's not about the speed. It's about other things doing your work for you. It's human nature.
Doondoon doo doondoon doo doondoon doo!
@Hand_O_Death: indeed! xD
