I could have bought a bitchin Camaro with the money I dumped into Dragon’s Lair. That and Gauntlet.
I can’t stand her, I fucking dislike her.
Thank you, that was what I was struggling to describe. He’s not being fair to other victims, and I’m struggling to be fair to him...as I should.
I’m sure the survivors he criticized don’t feel too good about being criticized by another survivor either. He doesn’t get a pass to say incendiary things like the Weinstein survivors “took a deal” and “kept their mouth shut” and got an “upside.” Did he ever consider that the Weinstein survivors are/were just as…
Me too. I don’t want to criticize or question, because victims get enough of that from the rest of the world. Still, I don’t really like or respect the way he’s doing this.
I am super uncomfortable with his assertation that there is a financial “upside” to victimization. Between that and his constant wriggling refusal to name names for vague financial reasons, I feel like it casts a lot of doubt over his intentions here, and potentially makes it even easier for his detractors to ignore…
I never claimed most victims do. But a victim’s story of victimization can’t be discredited by awful acts as an adult. He or she should certainly pay for any crimes they commit like anyone else.
I dunno, this project might gain more traction if it weren’t being helmed by someone who’s a sexual predator himself.
But yeah, the dress modestly feminists are about as feminist as the Burqas are feminist crowd, which is to say, not at all.
Honestly, this isn’t any weaker than Lindsey’s article last week asking to reinstate the millennia old patriarchal model where “good men” protect women from “bad men.”
I’m not sure if it’s ‘that bad’ from a misogyny standpoint, but from an ‘Is this show really that unfunny and terrible?’ standpoint, yes yes it is really that bad.
You know, I asked my Jewish friends about this one once.. they laughed themselves silly at the thought that anyone would believe such things. Its kind of like the rumor people have that Catholics aren’t suppose to have sex unless it is to have children. In both cases, at best, it represents a fundamental…
She “stars” on one of the most misogynistic shows on TV.
Cripes, her abuser made Tess about her actual life.
She also spoke about how her father sexually abused her from a young age
There’s no way he hasn’t sexually assaulted dozens of kids. I hope more people feel comfortable coming forward while he’s still alive and sentient enough to suffer some kind of come down.
You know who I feel really bad for? Nastassja Kinski who had an “affair” with Polanski when she was 15 and he was 43, and then three years later did a movie with Toback.
If only I could remove the hot takes from random white women about Beyonce’s pregnancy and (Beyonce in general) as easily
