Nope, social trends do push women away. I'm a woman who's been in the IT field for close to 6 years now - you don't see it until you're out of college. Trust me, I had the same thoughts as you.
Want a boyfriend/husband. Better not do tech because it scares a lot of men off that you do something more 'masculine' then

Only time I would argue that this is fine is when it's that part of your job you love. I love chilling in front of the TV and working through data and doing analytics at night. System problems I won't touch though - I HATE it when our hardware freaks out or our software.

But this isn't asking for people to 'notice' the homless people they are walking past. It's asking them to recognize them. Maybe because your black and white view of the world is antiquated and generally unrealistic.

They really are. The team at least is.

Not turning off my phone completely.

Right now the Gen1 nest is on sale for about 180. I'd recommend that if you're on a budget and it fits your heater.

I work from home one day a week, and I do so much more on that one day then when I'm in the office. I don't have people doing drive bys so that I can fix their report, or server, or security or any other number of things that they break. Also, I can work at a better pace for myself. I know that I work better in hour
