I almost feel bad for RIM.

"His research involved spreading it throughout a population of ferrets"

Another BBC article where they don't identify the US as being the home of the university that did the work (Washington University), but will specifically mention nationality (Swiss and Finnish, in the same article) for other accomplishments.

I think the "Marrone Del Sannio, Italy" one is actually in the US. It's an octagonal sign that says "stop" for fuck sake.

I don't know, people. Looks pretty sweet to me.

Whoa, whoa.

It's actually hard to grasp the speed when they're on the salt flats because there's no distinguishing objects around to judge the speed. The mountains are too far away.

It's more logical than saying that the Kindle fire is a better rival to the iPad than full-featured Honeycomb tablets just because it's only $200 bucks.

My Samsung Galaxy Tab begs to differ.

Liquid-fueled rocketry was actually invented by an American, Robert Goddard. Werner Von Braun and the Nazis actually based their designs on his designs.

This has always seemed ironic to me. Other countries also have nuclear weapons and ALSO don't want other countries to have any. And yet people like to call the US hypocrites when they could reasonably apply that exact same criticism to their OWN country. Thus being doubly hypocritical.

I agree with you. Screens that are 4.3" or bigger are just too big. It seems 4" is the sweet spot for me.

Your mom is a loose geek.

Present, present, present.

Erm.... the transparent part of the shell does not contain powder, the metal case at the base of the shell does. You can't tell how large the charge was by the outward appearance.

There was no bang with the rubber ball shotgun shell. There's no way in hell that the velocity was 1000 f/s. So... fake. I suspect that the rest of it was fake too.

There's nothing wrong with this.

Um, the US has been doing this for decades.

Wait.

Absolutely terrifying.
