Does anyone else while reading stories about Meghan Markle’s extended family think about which of their own extended family would be selling stories to the press if they were to marry royally?

“Meghan opts for a dizzying array of eye-catching shades that make her visible as an interstate highway billboard to people who’ve come to see her.”
In the UK though it isn’t just an exam and you’re qualified its an exam and a 2 year apprenticeship (interspersed with professional training) to qualify as a solicitor or an exam, a one year course at the bar to be called and then deviling (apprenticing for a barrister) for as a year at least but usually continuing…
I got my LLB as my undergraduate, it can be taken as a 4 year undergraduate degree.
The Queen still has a corgi called Whisper, she took in one of her groundskeepers corgis a few years ago. The corgi that died was the last of hers from a particular line but not her last corgi.
They can in some states but in NY and many other states only men, trans women (with penises) and trans men (I presume a surgically constructed penis counts but haven’t read any case law) can commit rape as it requires sexual intercourse to have taken place which is defined by NY as “any penetration, however slight, of…
Electrolysis works, it takes time and hurts but it will get rid of it permanently. Hormonal induced facial hair shouldn’t be treated by laser especially if its sparse as it can lead to laser induced hair growth where you will end up with a worse problem than you went in with (Brandi Glanville claims to have gotten a…
Love is still alive!!!!!! My OTP Jeffrey and Ina Garten are still going strong. Love is alive and living in a beautiful house in the Hamptons with a huge carton of heavy cream always in the fridge.
Does anyone else wonder why these discussions always focus on producers of the project rather than on the actress’ agents. Surely the agent is responsible for negotiating a price and clearly they are not going in high enough. I always think when I read these stories, who are the agents and are they being as aggressive…
Would love to see some Irish stories told, there were quite a lot of badass women like Maeve of Connaught, Gráinne Mhaol, Anne Bonney, St. Brigid etc but period dramas about Ireland only ever seem to be 20th century and in relation to our occupation. If it has to be 20th century and in relation to British occupation,…
I’m with you, would love to see a series about her life where she is the focus. The BBC made one in the late 70's called the Devil’s Crown (available on youtube) but it focuses on her husband and sons mostly rather than her.
I recently watched the BBC version of war and peace and wanted more Russian historical dramas in English and there are so few. Such a rich history, interesting clothes etc which would make for fab costume drama and theres practically nothing
Does the inclusion rider rely on self determining criteria? I honestly don’t think it will change much, apart from having everyone in Hollywood who wants a job self declaring as a minority.
You can look white as can be and benefit from that privilege while still having a POC as an ancestor and declaring yourself as…
That means that by default, wealthier queens have a better chance at winning the show
So...just ban us until it gets “normal” to accept trans people doing normal people things?
Drag race is introducing the concept of drag to the masses. If Jack and Jill Public see it on TV as being ok to critique a trans woman on their femininity then why wouldn’t they think its ok to do it IRL? I’m sure non drag race performers are judged by a lot of people on the parameters for the show.
Even if the contestant themselves knows what they’re getting into (which from my years of watching reality TV, I doubt anyone really knows what they’re getting into) do you think that judging the femininity of a trans woman on TV sends the correct message?
To me it becomes a different animal when you involve trans women who are out and transitioning.
Anyone else find these kind of comments pointless and just performative. Women who went to that march are politically active enough to bother going out to march and are by and large on the left.
Fergie was not invited
