Gary Johnson said he’d give me a piggyback ride if I published this

People rarely give any reason why Warren would be better or more qualified

Gosh, thanks for speaking for your girlfriend.

ok but then she would’ve been replaced by a republican in the senate. like...what’s your point? also, why are you on here voicing your SO’s opinions?

Well, that’s the SS for you.

I am a big supporter of BLM, but this is not about BLM at all.

I thought that’d be obvious - we = me and people who think like me. You don’t have to tell me not everybody thinks like me, that’s obvious from the fact the immigrants actually got in in such numbers; but I think I don’t have to tell you that not everybody thinks like you, either. I’m simply expressing my opinion

OK, against the will of a large number of voters, then. It would be interesting to know what the result would be if they asked us, referendum-style.

So... are you Native American?

The only people in the world that are actively seeking apocalyptic weapons on a daily basis for immediate, offensive use on the West are Islamic terrorists. To equate them with other terrorist groups in Europe is disingenuous. The difference is there, you either see it or you don’t.

I wish I could take my first reply back because I know it’s going to be misunderstood. Let me try to explain better and have patience - English is not my first language.

Yes, I guess that’s what the essay is getting at? That because JA is thin, White, and conventionally attractive she needs to “take a seat” and stop complainingabout how these standards of beauty are oppressive because she has essentially become one of the standards of beauty other women are held to.

Hmmm.... I’m thinking that I’m in disagreement with the thesis of this article. Empathy isn’t a finite, limited resource that we have to ration out in a triaged manner.

And a hint of - if you’re a thin white pretty woman who has become famous in part for being a thin white pretty woman, you are part of the problem, and you aren’t really feeling shame for these tabloid picks, and your response is borne of your privilege, your blindness to your role in the creation of beauty standards,

Very valid point. And to just prove that even further, Aniston doesn’t even have social media accounts where she posts pictures of herself. Which is where you could even argue that if you post pictures of yourself to the masses, you’re inevitably going to have people make rude comments.

I guess because it’s late Friday afternoon but this essay confuses me...what’s the thesis statement? That women who are body-shamed shouldn’t be “clapping back”?

And moms are stupid or something?

He is responding to a TMZ report from “sources". The only official word from Taylor has been confirmation she wrote the song.

And he’s now acknowledging that she wrote the lyrics AND the melody. I don’t care about these people particularly or have a side, but if anyone is coming off as a nightmare it’s the guy who is throwing a tantrum over acknowledging that someone else wrote the music and lyrics for the hit song he produced.

Woman writes hit song. Declines to take credit for it until conspiracy theories/obvious logic leads fans/tabloids to the story. Confirms it in one very straightforward sentence because she feels no obligation to protect the fiction she and her ex-boyfriend spun about it. Deserves credit. Did write song.
