If the entire Borg crisis in Picard is created by a Crazed Admiral Janeway that would tick off a huge chunk of Trek fans but I’d kinda love it. Janeway always seemed kinda extreme in some of her choices in Voyager that they papered over and it really turns out every Admiral in Star Trek is either just an exposition

Adding to the “kids today!” vibe around this, older people are more sensitive to glare from a bright object in a dark room; they might literally not see it as being as bright as you (and I) do.

That whole PSA at the beginning of movies is apparently wasted.

One thing to note is that, besides completely off, there is no acceptable brightness level for a phone screen in a theater.

I’ve had a newer mbp through work for about 6 months now. It sucks because the keyboard sucks.

Also the lead free solder was another issue. The machines would sport microscopic tin whiskers in the GPU BGA mounting, causing kernel panics.

I get the impression that Jobs ran Apple similar to how it is being run now, but was much better at reigning in people’s wild ideas, identifying where and how aesthetics were important but still less so than functionality, and just overall having a clear vision for the products, their market, and their intended
