I rods school buses in the 70's and early 80's, and they were all stickshifts. Our regular driver was fine, but her sick-day replacement was MAGIC. He made his way up and down the gearbox without even thinking about the clutch, and he did it smoother than most automatics. It was damned impressive.

Wonder if any of them are still around. A manual transmission school bus with auto tire chains sounds like a great overlanding vehicle.

Love me some 80s-tastic interiors. The RS200 has to be one of the coolest:

I am seriously considering eventually replacing my 6MT TL with a 6MT Accord. Eventually.

Also unicorn status, 04 6mt tl in anthracite with black interior and navi. yaay !

Nice Acura, but while camping on the beach I couldn’t take my eyes off the neighbor’s sweet ride!

My friend in Fall River owned one...

Never realized unicorn was another name for fugly.

Nothing against the James, but the problem for me is that I can’t get Deepwater out of my head when I see that class. Still drives me nuts.

Wait, that’s an ACTUAL pic? Good god...

I own one of these WTF-berg cars. Its way over the top and I love it.

That’s just the tip of the WTF-berg with that thing...

A friend of mine described the new Maxima as looking like a hair-lipped cow.

The new Maxima is just a hot mess.

Darn good point. People wanting to be able to plan the cost of the job, but then when it comes in a little under, want a refund. People are crazy.

The problem is, this exact situation happens in reverse. As a customer, we are charged “what the book says” even though we all know for years the book time is padded enough that someone who had never done the repair before could get it done in that amount of time. When we are paying $125/hr, of course we expect an

BUT, if you got paid for only hours worked, wouldn’t you work slower to get more? I think that’s the root of the problem. Job pays 4hrs and you get it done in 3, but get paid for 4! How’s that Fair? Like seriously? I guess question is, do ppl average get stuff done in less or more time than stated? From what I read,

I don’t know the economics but I do know from experience that most dealers are forcing “repairs” and the like on customers to boost the bottom line. Generally the pattern is the larger the congolomate of dealerships, the more spreadsheet management driven they become so the more pressure is put to increase the per

Would it be any different if you were a salesman who had a good run and sold 7 car sales one day? Clearly it’s unfair tIn pay extra commissions if you’re only supposed to sell 3 cars a day.. right.

It’s depressing because that’s exactly what Audi’s naming scheme is right now.
