We are stationed in Massachusetts now. I have Florida plates on both my cars. They are tinted damn near spray paint black. My primary driver is a triple black with leather. I’ve gotten pulled over a few times. Point out the Florida tags and they let me go. One cop was flummoxed at the concept. He genuinely did not

Yeah, the pumping gas thing. When we got stationed in NJ, I was pumping my own fuel for a couple months before someone finally pointed out the $3000 fine for doing it yourself. I actually thought it was in part of forced tipping to the attendant because that also was stated to me. NJ is weird.

For anyone who wants to give the benefit of the doubt to the employers on the chance the trucker is dramatizing the situation:

1987 Suzuki LT4WD, the precursor to the King Quad. Everything changed in 1988, so very few parts were interchangeable. I learned that I could only use 1987 parts, and it had to have the locking differential.

I’m not gonna grab my pitchfork and come after you about what you just stated on a blog dedicated to the very thing that rubs you very much the wrong way. This is a free country (for now), and you are well within your rights to feel that way.

I’m a mid-30's male with many piercings in both ears. I had them done at mall kiosks. To be fair, I was young and stupid; it was almost 20 years ago. My girlfriend (now wife) got a piercing done at a tattoo shop. She never had an issue with any of hers. Mine, on the other hand, ended up getting very infected. One of

I started turning on captioning when I got my first apartment. Even then it was an accident. I inherited my grandmother’s television, and she had the CC enabled. The original remote was gone, and the universal remote could not access the menu to turn it off. So I lived wth it.

You have made a great talking point there David. My only criticism is that manuals have fallen out of favour in utilization vehicles. SUV, truck, wagon, and the like hardly have the option. And in a way it makes me frustrated. I loathe automatics. Of the seven vehicles my wife and I have had, only one was an

I have such reservations about that twin-charged engine. They are boosting that thing within a centimeter of destruction IMHO. Of course only time will tell.

Yeah, the starter on a K24 just sucks. They mount it up underneath the intake manifold. AHM suggests taking off the manifold to get to it. One of the starter mounting bolts is so buried that they made it about 8 inches long, with the shoulder about an inch from the thread end. That bolt’s length serves no purpose

Growing up I had an ATV that was as much a part of my life as a beloved pet. After many years of service the engine gave up. But we still had it in our barn. So I decided to tear it down and rebuild it.

Oh gods. Made me harder than Chinese Algebra.

Gotcha.

No kidding, right?

Cannot say for other manufacturers, but Honda started doing this about 15 years ago on their J-series V6 engines. I believe the 03 Accord V6 was the first to use that setup.

I’ll take it. In the light or not.

Customer must take special care that:

How frakking fast was he going in a residential area? I know dashcams can make speed to appear faster than actuality, but damn was he cooking! What if kids were playing in the area? Sirens out, but still...

How about a quick primer:

Yes. I have only been in 3 MVAs. And all 3 the other guy had no insurance or shockingly little. And all 3 I was not at fault. I keep very good un/under coverage because of that.
