Having worked for Hyundai, I had a few opportunities to take some Elantras to drive. 2015, 2016, and new 2017 models. They are so uncomfortable.

As I have very little plans to get rid of my manual transmission AWD TL anytime soon, I am keeping a watchful eye on the new models.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Where the vast majority of roads are two lane. But then, at some intersections, they will go to four lanes for a brief spell, usually about a quarter mile. People jam up the lane with the least amount of traffic then try to force their way past you.
Ugh, Catera. I remember years ago having to work on them.
I’ll just leave this here. Sums up valets for me.
I have a hilariously awful story about why I refuse to valet.
Ponder this:
I’m a diesel lover. I’m a hatch lover. I’m a three pedal lover. Now I would just need to be a GM lover.
Yep. Probably.

Ugh, those power steering hoses. I really cannot say anything TOO terribly bad about them. They paid decent times for warranty. Unless I got a rust bucket, I could easily bank time on them. Just like the automatic transmissions 10 years ago, I did so many steering hose recalls I could never even fathom a number. Got…
The system uses coded sensors and initiators. What does your screen on the dash say where you can view all the pressures? If you have one bad sensor, it will show “—” on the tire it cannot read.
The rear transaxle mount may be going bad. That car has 5 mounts: front by the fans, side by the power steering pump, 2 smaller ones on the bottom of the transmission, and a rear one by the bulkhead/firewall. The from and side mounts love to go bad. They are not too bad to change, but can be frustrating if you’ve…
OK, here we go...
There’s so much win there I had to take a step back. :)
