Smells like bullshit to me - I don't see any show-specific comments from you - just logical fallacies, poor reasoning, and juvenile straw men.

Yes, it ranks close to The Wire in terms of all-time Emmy screw-ups. And it all boils down simply to audience size: both The Wire and Rectify had/have tiny audiences - and so aren't even known by the majority of voters. But just like The Wire, I expect Rectify to be discovered by a wider audience after it's finished,

"…and literal approach to legal concepts."

No, I'm not. That's simply your faulty interpretation - much like your other incorrect "observations".

I doubt you'd know 'relevant' if it bit you in the ass.

"There it is: the madatory recitation…"

There is no "nuance" - just invention. He's basing his theory of the nature of the sex on the words of the men that had the sex with the girl that ended up murdered, and he's inventing a theory of her killing based on absolutely nothing in the show.

Seriously though, if something close to what you've theorized is revealed on the show (e.g. that Hanna was accidentally killed - or killed by a jealous girlfriend), I'll return to take my medicine :)

Ahh,,, now I understand everything! English is not your native language.

"So, the crux of your argument for it being deemed to be rape has now shifted from age of consent to soundness of mind?"

That's irrelevant (as evidenced by the dialogue between the lawyers and police in the show itself) since there isn't a justice department in any state that would believe a 16-year old girl high on mushrooms had legally given her consent for anything.

In the finale, I don't know if they'll discover the true perpetrator(s) of Hanna's murder or not, but I'm guessing that, with enough evidence coming to light, the DA will set aside Daniel's plea deal - in other words, he will be a completely free man, no longer on parole, and technically never convicted of a crime

Firstly, Trey's own story had "mistakes"; Daniel caught him out on a couple of lies while he was telling it. The reason that was put in the script by the writers was to suggest that Trey wasn't telling the whole truth about other aspects of the event as well; he was telling a self-serving version.

You're clearly the one with an understanding problem, since at least three of us here have pointed out your faulty reasoning, and yet you keep repeating the same nonsense.

"If you could please point out where I ever blamed any female for being raped, I will accept your verdict regarding my mindset."

"Are you saying that all sexual intercourse occurring between human beings "under the age of consent" , whether it be consensual or non-consensual, is rape?"

Well, there will always be those that don't like a musical choice - just as there will always be those that don't like a new character, plot development, narrative choice, piece of dialogue, etc, etc.

"Multiple semen samples being found in the vagina of a deceased "under the age of consent" female is not irrefutable evidence that a "gang rape" occurred."

"The only "evidence" that Hanna was "gang raped and murdered" came from the accusations of Roland Foulkes."

There has not been a single shred of evidence that Hanna's murder was accidental or that Hanna desired or asked to be held down or choked - that's a complete projection on your part. Yes, some women have that (or a similar) fantasy, but it has nothing to do with age, amount of sexual partners, or any other sexual
