Having actually played the game now, I think this article is somewhat inaccurate in the description of how the ‘suppress the protest by force’ scenario plays out. You do not ‘fail the mission’ if you select no, and do not ‘succeed’ if you select yes.

So they’ll vote for Trump, but not this guy? Why? What’s the practical difference?

Anyone aware of any fixes or work-arounds? I’d love to play this, but it’s completely broken on my reasonably high-end machine. Wondering whether to refund or not.

No option to vote for Tyrion Lannister? Would his supporters be the equivalent of Westerosi Bernie-Bros?

So because he’s white, he gets to be the poster boy for ending the death penalty?

Once again, “This is the Police” supposedly releases this week.

Stories like this are what keep me clinging to my last lingering shred of hope in humanity.

The reason is almost certainly staffing. Any time jail inmates are moved from one area of the jail to another (such as between the showers and the holding area) they need an escort by multiple officers. That can be a logistical hassle for smaller jails, so they may just decide to solve the problem by skipping showers.

Not so much the low/no taxes thing by itself, but more the complete dismantling of our social safety net which it would lead to. Libertarians are against medicare, medicaid, all forms of welfare, social security, and public education, among other things. Definitely not something the Democrats endorse.

This was Kickstarter funded. Don’t know if they got any funding beyond that.

Thursday is the release for This Is The Police, a game Kotaku has covered development of in the past. It looks promising!

How do you get a 100% from the Brady campaign and a 7% from the NRA? I thought they opposed each other on every bill. What possible bill could have gotten support from both of them?

Dragon Age is a pretty good comparison. There are recurring characters the game shares and some references to plot points of the prior games, but there aren’t really any moments where you’ll be totally lost without having played the earlier entries.

Almost no one in America actually gets the maximum sentence for the crimes they are charged with. Much less than one percent of people charged, certainly. It’s a common journalistic practice to publish the maximum when someone is charged, but basically no one actually faces those penalties.

Skip it. Witcher 1 is an average-ish RPG. Witcher 2 is a decidedly above average RPG. Witcher 3 is one of the best RPGs of all time. You don’t lose much from jumping straight into the later entries.

It’s on PC too. Steam is taking preorders.

What’s the difference between Mike Pence and Chili’s?

How does what help? The diehard Bernie bro mentality, or my comment about it?

She didn’t care then, and she doesn’t care now. She’s just upset to be getting negative backlash. Fuck her and her self-serving insincere “apology”.

I expect the remaining Bernie holdouts to respond with something along the lines of “Shillary is just as bad as Pence!”
