Nice looking episodes you got there... shame if anything were to ah... happen to them...

Some shipping companies do just that, in fact the US recommends that vessels travelling through pirate waters carry security teams trained to protect the vessels. A lot of shippers look at the potential for loss of life and damage to property and let insurance pay the ransom. Sure your sniper has a .50 Cal, but they

The Italians thought Ethiopia would be a pushover. Didnt quite work out the way they wanted. Even though they had modern machine guns tanks and bombers, they had a hard time beating the Ethiopian Army armed mostly with spears and bows. The war became a pretty bad stalemate... until the widespread use of poison gas by

We have dozens of warships there. In fact one of the worlds largest multinational naval operations ever is occurring off the coast of Somalia and has been for years, just like it is in indonesia. On any given day 40 warships from the EU, NATO and the US as well as China Russia, India, South Korea and Japan run convoy

The problem with encouraging this behavior is that it also encourages others to respond to violence with violence. While that can be effective it can also escalate the situation. I was bullied in the 7th grade, and somehow I managed to get lucky and turn the tables on my bully once when he tried to trip me in the hall

Nice job turning it into a political rant against the guys you dont like in political office and nice job ignoring the ugly truth of all war. It was an enormous loss of life on the civilian side. We only used so many smart bombs and bullets dont just kill bad guys. Call them freedom corpses if it helps you sleep

Actually I meant this!

This actually isnt that bad, compared to other promo videos from that era, I mean the old MS DOS commercials were horrid. And its not really a commercial, as in it was never on TV, just some filler for a marketing event. That crap happens at everyones marketing events and its all equally bad.

Wouldn't Sampson be a better choice of parables...

they still fish that way in venice, IT so no he isnt the last...

@javiergrillomarxuach:On some level I agree with you,... but on another, well I can't. If art doesn't belong to the community, then who is art for? The artist? Why create at all then if your not willing to share? Can you really call it art if its not appreciated? George Lucas like it or not sold us art... and in a

@gbmbg: I can't bring myself to pity sociopaths in the same way I can't pity a loaded gun. This guy is far to dangerous to move into the pity category. Maybe if he attempted to get help for himself or something... But it reminds me of the line Brad Pitt says in Se7en...

@Costermonger: I did too, and 56kbps is pretty painful. I'm at .25mbps down .06 up right now which is also be painful and I pay 80 bucks a month for the privilege.... woot.

@Costermonger: Not true... it works fine slow. Web 2.0 stuff is easier when its fast, but I still have access to web sites, blogs and email as long as people dont get too crazy with ignoring web standards and too heavy with flash It works great out here ... Im just not torrenting stuff anymore because Im back to weeks

It seems like the cloud only really works when you have fast internet innately available. Im currently in rural Alaska and this has next to zero utility for me. Internet speeds out here are 1990's dial up slow and not going to get better any time soon. Given how crappy our net connections are in this country I think

@streeeeetch: Is human life that sacred though? 1.5 million people have accidents involving deer and at least a hundred people die each year (which is about 100 more than died through a terrorist airline attack last year) and you dont see the TSA advocating we kill every deer in the country. In 2001 42,196 people died

Meh, 99.999% of those media would be used to store ridiculously bad powerpoint presentations
