2nd gen Lightnings only came stepside. Reason was because the bed was lighter.
The headlights are aftermarket but the tails are factory. Yes I know they’re ugly but that’s stock. That “coolant tank” under the hood is actually an oversized reservoir for the liquid to air intercooler, designed to fit ice through its opening.
I’m assuming you meant 5.8, because this has a supercharged 5.4 which is way more powerful than the 351 ever was. These engines have such a huge aftermarket it’s crazy. Sky is the limit for power upgrades.
Disqualified. Isn’t this what you’re supposed to do with a rental car?
Took a Lamborghini to Home Depot to pick up a bag of concrete once. A Mini owner saw us and said, “and I thought I had a bad car for a Home Depot run.”
Audi RS3.
I’ve only bought two new cars in my life. The first one I settled on color-wise, the second one I swapped in for myself (worked at the dealer). I think I would have paid up for the color though (Sepang Blue).
I run summers on my Audi all year round...then again I don’t drive it if the roads are wet at all in the winter.
Neat! Out of curiosity, why the V10 noises instead of something more straight-6ish, like an S54 engine noise? Would have not only been the right cylinder count/firing order/plausible swap but also sounds crazy.
It’s a 330i ZHP. You can tell from the aluminum cube trim in the interior. The only thing that screwed with my head were the V10 noises dubbed in at times. Also the 911 is a G Body, but definitely from the 80s.
I have a full interior for that thing out of a garage kept 70k mile truck. It was a mint truck that got smashed in the front. I bought it because my 5.9 interior was all dried out, then I ended up selling mine. I still have a shit ton of parts for that thing.
Wow, that headlight part was all sorts of wrong. Both the Ford Police Interceptor and Dodge Charger use projector headlights, which at night look like little round circles. The newer Police Interceptor trucks use a full LED headlight, which color-wise can look like an HID.
Garage kept, clear film and ceramic coating. Garage keeps it clean, clear film keeps the front end from getting chipped up, and the ceramic coating chemically protects it from bird shit and the like.
The most insane part of that run is that you hear him not even floor it UNTIL ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MPH. Go back and listen, you’ll hear the engine note change and it starts revving out faster. In other words, he babied the car to a speed most of our cars could never touch, then proceeded to actually go for it.…
Does my friend’s dog count:
Cadillac CTS-V (2nd gen) or an SRT Grand Cherokee.
The Audi Q7 and Macan (both if equipped with air suspension) do the same thing.
