Hrm. I was hoping this would be about obtaining custom music box innards for real. Like, you let them know the notes and they assemble the parts in the lede picture, and then you install it in a handmade box.

This is the third time I am recommending Lifehacker at least signal the video format in the title and/or provide a transcript of the video below. No response. No change. I don’t think they give a crap.

If people stop giving a f*ck about stuff that doesn’t matter, the whole Gawker Media/Lifehacker thing probably isn’t long for this world . . .

I give a fuck about the transition to video article format. I’d much prefer being able to read things. I can read an article three minutes that takes ten of viewing time.

Oh this is for someone’s porn collection.

You probably are being careful with trusting in star ratings already, but if you’re ever on the fence about something, copy the Amazon product page link into the search field at: https://reviewmeta.com/blog/suspicious-reviewers/ and get a better idea of how trustworthy the reviews (and the reviewers who’ve rated that p

hey, if a $2 usb cable will clean my dishes for me, even though I don’t have a dishwasher, I would buy it.

Amazon seems to have gone all-in on those cheap Chinese knockoffs. I’ve stopped looking on Amazon for anything charger related as a result. Like search for “Apple Watch Charger” and all the results have fake “Made for iWatch” or “Charger for Apple Watch” icons all made to look like they’re officially certified.

Bonus with camelcamelcamel, I can set my price alerts amount (instead of the Google feature, which appears to notify you if the price drops by ANY amount).

Anyone seen “the Secret Of NIMH”?
Enough said.

I tend to agree with you, but that’d be easier to swallow if there was Thunderbolt 3. There are some weird limitations with the way USB-C hubs work (driverless multi-monitor support, in particular, was weird for a long time, though I think it’s gotten better lately). Thunderbolt is just a nicer technology, and you

DON’T RUN SPACE HEATERS WHEN YOU’RE NOT IN THE ROOM.

The caveat is that these still won't run a ton of stuff that targets x86. These won't replace your regular windows daily driver.

“Nothing stopping Tesla team at our car plant from voting union. Could do so tmrw if they wanted. But why pay union dues & give up stock options for nothing? Our safety record is 2X better than when plant was UAW & everybody already gets healthcare.”

My experience is a complete opposite. I get better gas mileage with Costco gas than Chevron/Shell/Mobil gas, and around these parts Costco is at least 20c cheaper, sometimes up to 40c cheaper. Just the gas savings for 4 cars in my family over a year pays for the membership, everything else is just gravy. I drive

Ok, maybe I'm missing something here, but wouldn't you just set the heat of your water heater to a higher level and then use the cold and hot knobs at each sink/tub to set the ideal temperature? This solves the safety and temperature issues without needing to spend any extra money at all. Right?
