So... it worked? She posted it to raise awareness and now we’re all looking at and talking about it. Even overly P.C. criticism works toward her cause.

This doesn’t really apply to anyone else, but I have a chronic MRSA sinus infection. Scores of antibiotics, 2 surgeries, and daily sinus rinses haven’t done anything. Getting the flu this January with a fever of 102 basically burned the infection out of my head. It came back after a month, but maybe it won’t next

Shlubb and Klump are a perfect example of using a large vocabulary to sound dumb.

I have the same problem but with a weaker vocabulary. Friends and family are used to it by now. They don’t get annoyed any more, but they occasionally make fun of my more amusing synonyms. I’ve known my boss for 8 years and I sometimes still refer to him as “that guy that signs the checks and tells us what to do”. I

I thought I got this one from lifehacker, maybe not. I breathe in as much as I can and hold it, then I breathe in some more, then some more, then some more... I keep going like that until it hurts. That’s my final/worst case solution, for a very mild case forcing myself to burp can fix it.

The picture button isn’t working, and it looks like it’s stuck on bold print. Anyway,

I have a similar rule, I try to wait a day for every $100 an item costs. $200 Xbox? 2 days. $1,500 laptop? 15 days. $10,000 car? 2 days. There are exceptions. You need a car to get to work, make money...

Based on the title I was expecting a slightly more practical article and less theoretical article. Don’t get me wrong, This was all very interesting. Anyway, I have some practical info if anyone is interested. I record mileage at every fill-up and have noticed a few trends. In my cars (past and present) fuel economy

Yup, exactly. 3” out of 3’ is not a large loss.

I do something similar with gorilla tape, painter’s tape, and electrical tape. I take a 2-3” length and fold it around itself, then continue wrapping for a few feet. It packs fairly flat and fits better in my backpack.

If you think someone is making a mistake dating you, that’s ok. It’s their mistake to make, take advantage of it. Maybe they know better than you. Maybe they don’t care about looks or whatever else you think makes them too good for you.

I usually think of or listen to a previous earworm song that I can now get out of my head. I have a dozen or so on my phone for easy access. This last time around the new song was so stuck that this didn’t work. What did work was buying and listening to the rest of the artist’s album, a bunch of songs that could pry

I did exactly that. I worked my way through 6 years of community college taking whatever looked interesting. I graduated with 3 degrees, no debt, and 90 hrs that transferred to my local university. 6 years may be too long for most people, but I was enjoying myself.

I was fired for something I didn't do. I was turned down for unemployment, not because of cause, but because one of the questions on the paperwork was "Are you taking classes whose schedule you can't change for a potential job?". I was. The class was only offered at one time. There was nothing stopping me from

Yes, absolutely. I worked my way through a community college and had a grand total of $8,000 student loan debt after finishing a university. That was way back in 2007, so that's like $9,000 in today's dollars.

I always rented from Enterprise because they didn't have the underage fee. I continue out of familiarity and brand loyalty. Hear that, other rental companies? Long term repercussions for ridiculously high fees.
