You can't farm random loot to get to level 30. Period. It takes at least 3 pieces of raid gear, with the other piece either an exotic or another piece of raid gear. No matter how long you stand at that cave, you can only get to level 29 without raid gear.

The game is called Cordial Minuet,though that name is an anagram for perhaps a more demonic phrase. It's a game about numbers—numbers arrayed in magic squares in which the rows and columns all add up the same sum. The sum is 111 in this case. There are six rows. Do the math.

I don't think goofy and tearjerking/dramatic/whatever are necessarily exclusive to each other. Some of the most touching moments on TV were on Scrubs, and that's about as goofy as you can get.
