It says a lot that the one character I'm certain will live to the last episode is Jon Snow, puppy dog eyes in tact.

I felt that way about Renly, who I thought was an interesting character who could have played a strong role in making peace, but then again that's why he had to go. An alliance between him and Rob would have ended things pretty quickly.
The fight was okay and gross and all that, but I'm going to agree with Erik that Sansa owned this episode. After being passive for the entire show, she stepped up made a choice and threw her lot with the one person who cares about her well-being, albeit for some pretty twisted reasons. And damn, if she didn't look…
Blondie, including Debbie Harry, wanted Fab Five Freddie to do the rap break on Rapture, but the record company wouldn't allow it. We have come quite a long way.
I think the Godfather is a well-made movie, but that's about as much enthusiasm I can muster for what other people seem to regard as a life-defining classic and candidate for greatest movie of all time.
I think Hannibal was trying to create a family for himself, with Will as his brother/mirror/soul mate. I think it's important to note that Hannibal is probably just as invested in Bedelia as Will, and likely spent as much time with her even though we the viewers did not see it. Hannibal also spent time grooming…
I don't think Hannibal ever cared about Alana the way he cared for Will, Abigail and Bedelia. He only cares for his progeny, and Alana was just a tool to manipulate Will and get an alibi. So, I totally agree that he didn't care about her one way or another.
I'm calling it: Abigail and Alana die. Will and Jack survive. It's interesting that Fuller says that originally it was going to be Abigail on the plane (which would not have shocked me as much) but her brief appearance last night illustrated that Abigail is a cipher and a killer. She was always Hannibal's, not Will's…
I think Jack's compass has been knocked out of wonk by the fact that Hannibal has been the one to provide comfort to Bella in death rather than Jack himself. Hannibal as Angel of Death for her is one of the most intriguing parts of the episode and I can believe that while he hasn't been broken by it, it threw him off…
I kept mumbling - where are the EMTs during the last few minutes. I wanted at least the flash of a red siren.
Last night, I thought that this episode could make for a really sad, cynical but somehow appropriate series finale - a grim parody of reboot alternate timelines. I'm glad we're getting more Hannibal, but this would have worked.
Hmmm…I'm not so sure it's shocking that Hannibal played them. What shocked me was that Bedelia played them.
I was not expecting a whole lot of that, tonight. Twist. After twist. Good stuff.
+1 for mentioning Detox's B&W look. I wasn't a fan of Detox until she pulled out that look and she won my respect for all time. As controversial as Raja has been, her runway looks haunt my dreams still. I think her post-modern Marie Antoinette looks (which didn't even win that episode) represents the pinnacle of…
I totally agree. I think the producers straight up admitted they tailored the first challenge of Season 4 to give Sharon a boost. I definitely think that the Rusical coming so early was designed to play up the battle of the idols, which kind of fizzled.
It seems to me in the early seasons, the queens with the best runway looks went the furthest. Raja did have a great sense of theatrics with her runway looks. However, the dynamic has flipped in favor of team talent and someone like April who can really slay the runway doesn't get a chance because even though she tried…
At least they trumped something up that created some tension. There wasn't much this season. They tried to trump up Darienne versus Milk, Gia versus Milk then Darienne versus Dela but nothing ever really took. At least in Season 5 there was some consistency with three queens who made it far freezing out Jinx, even…
I agree that Jinx's underdog edit was forced, but her Snatch Game performance did have some narrative punch to it thanks to the down playing of her abilities in early episodes. But at least there was an edit. They didn't even try and build suspense this season. Bianca was the front runner and stayed there.
I'm going to have to dissent in the characterization of this as a strong season. I think season 4 had the best narrative, followed by season 5. This season had strong contestants, with Bianca, Adore, Dela and even Courtney (had she been in seasons 1-2) with the talent and charisma to be a winner. However, the editing…
Might have been his daughter is pretty low on the GoT incest scale, considering Craster, Jaimie and Cersei, Lysa and Robin, Theon and Yara…the list goes on. I'm not arguing it isn't creepy, it's just a matter of degrees in this universe.
