To be fair we got a thorough drilling in fact based education but little encouragement to think critically. So I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the American educational system is the worst one out there.

I lived in Asia so I went with Europe to show that We covered more than our own neighbourhood. We did one continent in each grade starting from the fifth. History and geography.

The head covering pre dates Islam and is present to some degree in all Abrahaminic faiths. I am no religious scholar but I have never actually seen anything about covering the face itself in Islamic beliefs. I may be wrong.

I never said it didn’t but women in the Far East wear a head scarf and long skirts. In India and Pakistan they wear loose trousers and a neck scarf. My point is there was never any actual Islamic tenet to throw a sheet over women otherwise they would all do it.

Given that there are millions of Muslim women in the world but only a very small percentage wear that tent you can’t equate the religion with the clothing issues. There are many things wrong with fundamentalism but walking around in a parachute is a purely cultural thing.
