Why upgrade at all if you are worried about her not being able to grasp it? You dont HAVE to install these updates you realize, and i find it is much more relaxing to not bother computer-phobics with updates etc if i dont have to.

Lion is not out for a while. Just install snow leopard now as preparation for lion, sounds as if lion will be an app store only type deal of an upgrade.

from memory, removing something called "windows live sign in assistant" from Win7 got my network going (Win7 desktop and a laptop running some version of ubuntu, 10.4 i think). i have no idea why it worked, but it did.

why is this such a concern for people? i mean trashing an app just leaves a tiny pref file lying around. people go to extraordinary lengths to remove these, but they are tiny and literally do nothing.

i like this theme, however any time adium gets updated, the theme breaks. The forum thread on setting it up is approximately 10,000 posts long, so gets a bit tiresome trying to get HUD looking right again whenever it breaks. Or maybe i am just a bit lazy / doing it wrong?

? I am on 4.3.1 and have this function. I think Notes syncing changed a little bit with one of the updates, allowing them to be done OTA whereas previously it was done during tethered syncing

pretty sure you just update, re-jailbreak, then restore from backup in itunes and all your games etc get updated with whatever was there prior to the update.
