Technically, DCU hasn’t started yet. The Flash, Shazam 2, Beetle, and Aquaman 2 were produced before James Gunn and Peter Safran were hired.

I’d argue that Aquaman 2 is the last DCEU movie.
Not to mention that this all started because he was ordered to pay the 44 bil because he was being a careless ass.
Honestly curious, is there a poem that has words rhyming with”Bay”?
I mean, he was supposed to fight against a guy named “Batman” and he’s known as the main villain of a group named “Teen Titans,” comics should always have delightfully silly names.
I’m just here to read the comments about that hair.
The best part about this is that Glover is writing this too. If can weird it up like Atlanta but make it feel like the series is inhabited by real, relatable characters. I already trust him with his Star Wars geek bonafides. He’s Lando, but he’s also Troy after all.
These spin offs feel like they missed the boat in viewer interest.
I thought Downsizing too, but he’s on record for being proud of the film and being disappointed that it didn’t do better with critics and the box office.
I think The Great Wall is a spot on guess in the replies here.
I’ve heard this sentiment before, but it wouldn’t be the Suicide Squad without C-list members getting killed. That’s exactly the team’s M.O.
I actually think that he’s building his own version of the 1980's Justice League International (with Guy Gardner, etc.), because that team centered around humor, squabbling…
I mean, this is the guy who made a talking racoon and his tree buddy become household favorites all over the world. Metamorpho is right in his wheelhouse.
I absolutely loved it. I’m not a horror guy, but I was seriously entertained by the movie and impressed by how a zombie movie felt “real.”
The visuals are going to absolutely amazing and the writing is going to be bad. If I cancel out all the noise that comes with every Snyder movie nowadays, I already know that my eyes will be very much entertained, while I get more and more frustrated with the story and every decision the main characters make.
Honestly, considering how they previously handled news and politics (domestic and international) on facebook, I’m perfectly fine with Meta staying out of it.
Is it a good documentary worth checking out? I don’t care about The Eagles, but a music doc about a messy famous 70's band sounds like fun.
This is the same guy who made the very unknown Guardian of the Galaxy a household name. He also had a hand in b-list characters in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. If there’s any studio head who is willing to use lesser known characters in the DC Comics world, I imagine it would be him.
As of this afternoon, I see that Threads is back in the app store with a listed July 6 launch date. Between the Bluesky surge and the Threads Thursday launch, it’s going to be an interesting week for social media apps.
Weyland-Yutani begins.
I think it’s an amalgam of exploited pop stars and the writer’s “great idea” to use a Charles Manson-like persona and his talented sex cult as an attempt to make the series more intriguing.
Tedros is supposed to be a sort of sketchy charismatic cult leader who mesmerizes a young, fragile pop star (i.e., Britney), but…
Oceangate also can’t read the room and still advertises their Titanic trips. I imagine that Virgin is savvy enough to update their website when big things happen.
