Are we down to Michael Palin as the one good guy standing from the Python bunch?

“We here at The A.V. Club hope for a speedy recovery for all among the more than 185,000 people in the United States who received their coronavirus diagnosis today.”
Frozen was entertaining, but I was very impressed with Tangled when it came out. Rewatchability with my daughter is high too. I’m with you with Moana. Great film, though I may have been slightly biased having grown up by the beach in the Pacific. I’m no Disney princess (just a 44 year old dad), but a lot of the scenes…
Tangled >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(inhale)>>>>>>>>>>>>Frozen.
I bet she feels the same way now too because her acting has upgraded considerably since those teen years.
When it was decided that Jonathan was going to do the tv interview to charm his way out of the hole he dug, that’s when I thought, “ah, this is Hugh Grant’s wheelhouse. I see why he had to be cast in this.”
The current season if Fear ....is good? I’m surprised because I honestly quit that show last season. I was done and very decided on not wanting to check out this new season. Hate watching only goes so far. So, I’m surprised that people here are saying new FTWD became good. Is it worth returning to?
The entire movie slate isn’t exactly the “I think it’s worth risking my life to watch this in theater” type of films.
Tenet, Sure. I can see the excitement for it, but risking covid for an aging Costner and Lane melodrama western film set in the 60's? Even Pa Kent would wave me off and tell me it’s not worth the risk…
That series is terrible and such a disappointment. AND YET, I still hope they pull it together. It’s got some great casting, solid costume designs and intriguing set pieces, but they keep whiffing on the plot payoffs.
I expect to be very disappointed once again in season 3, mostly because I know I’ll still be watching…
“Moving on, this show is delivering surprises and with every shoe that drops that we see through Kidman’s eyes intrigues only because of how damn great her performance is in reacting to them.”
That is the consensus. The Rock is the “not hated by people” Michael Bay film, and a large reason for that is Connery and Ed Harris.
I love it. I’m glad to see that they got the joke this time and made good use of it. When this pandemic hellscape is over, Kazakhstan might be a fun travel adventure for me and MY WIFE.
Jennifer Lawrence was also 18 years old from a conservative family in a hard red conservative state.
I’m a 44 years old liberal, but my political awareness at 18, raised in a catholic conservative region was quite limited and I’d like to think my understanding of the world has considerably improved since then.
I don’t know. My assumption was 60% of total votes, but I could be wrong.
I can’t imagine the stress of being the sole nominee and the fear of not getting 60% no matter how good his chances are. Just imagining, days leading to the awards, losing as a sole nominee live on tv must be a scary thought.
I’m more convinced it’s an unreliable narration.
When Bruce Lee crashes into the car, the camera pans out and the large crowd watching the fight (casually standing and sitting) disappears. It’s just the two guys there.
Given Brad’s character’s career frustrations (as an aged stunt actor/Leo’s gofer with no career…
I too was bothered by Bruce Lee’s depiction in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, however on rewatch and from podcast recaps, I’ve realized that Brad Pitt’s character mostly daydreamed it.
It makes more sense now that his “Bruce Lee” came off arrogant so that Pitt’s character becomes a cool action hero in his mind. I’m…
I have never heard of any of these movies. Is Jennifer Anniston the most famous actor with the consistently worst movies in a career? When it’s all said and done, what is the one movie that credits her at her artistic height?
Even critically derided popular actors have at least that one movie where they when full…
I see someone said the same thing I’m about to say, but it’s certainly a reflection of how the tv landscape has changed so much because I too have never heard of the show.
A few years back, I’d certainly be aware of top rated shows like Big Bang Theory, Grey’s Anatomy or Two and a Half Men even though I’ve never seen…
