I feel the same way. I was waiting for a mention of the criticism of Islamophobia in the show. Whether justifiable or not, I remember it being a lingering issue that the show constantly faced. I admit that I enjoy Homeland, but a short exploration of that criticism was needed in the article.

I know it’s an interview show based on a gimmick, but I have to say that I’ve been very impressed with his interview skills. He has a knack for asking great questions and making the guest feel at ease with him.

Also, the show could’ve easily fallen into lampooning guest celebrities being even more extremely…

My first thought as well. Normally, the main draw for me would be Tom Hardy playing Capone, but I’m honestly curious about seeing if a director can survive a famously career ending debacle.

I count myself lucky as having watched her films first without knowing about her death (my dad was a film buff with an impressive movie collection). She was just the classic movie actress to me and I only found about her tragic death when I was in my 30's.

So, I never saw her as a tragic figure when I’d be rewatching…

I don’t know about that. When I saw it in theaters, I thought they were pulling a War of the Worlds ending, but instead of Earthbound bacteria, it was cheesy music in line with the comedic theme of the film.

I feel less guilty now that my first thought was SAS when I saw the post.

I don’t remember the plot (or anything much) of the season 1, but I think I enjoyed it. Basically, I’m the target audience who’ll be watching season 2.
