I started reading this article, and as someone who’s followed motorsports and sim racing for years, I got disappointed, then angry, and then incredulous. I am Chinese by heritage, and having a passing knowledge of their mindset, this doesn’t surprise me.

Watches in general now are stupid. HOWEVER mechanical watches at the higher end are really freaking cool. Seeing gears, levers, tourbillons, all moving with precision, and all those little microgears and mechanisms is pretty cool.
