I know here on the AV club we give it crowns made of gold, but in the real world, The Leftovers is criminally underrated. Try finding a normal person who even heard of the show. Try finding a normal person who’s willing to watch it when you describe the basic premise. Try finding a show that’s so perfect and haunting…
Steven Soderbergh said it better and in more entertaining fashion than I ever could.
Just making your typical contrarian edge-lord comment, I see...
Are you ok?
That looks way better then what it was before. Then again not a high bar to jump over.
That’s.. way, way better. Like, a lot better. Bravo.
This is s very fair critique of the recap. I love Laurie, and I wanted to explore what bring her back at this juncture meant for her character and for the show. Next week I’ll focus more on what’s on the screen. Thanks for taking the time to read it.
God, I hope that "lock him up" chant burned its way into his insecure little facsimile of a soul and we get a torrent of rage tweets about it tomorrow. HOOK IT TO MY VEINS!
You missed the point. That one replay cost Oklahoma the game and maybe season, NOT giving up 48 points to Kansas State.
Complaining that the cameras caught it? Seriously? Are we upset when the cameras catch whether they drag their feet for a catch, or whether a fumble occurs before being down? Darn technology
We all are, sometimes.
I think that was a little tongue-in-cheek.
Dunno, that’s a pretty basic one right there. You want to be salty and pissy and not even extend the courtesy of a handshake, then yeah, I’m fine with Sherman’s reaction. Sherman didn’t do the equivalent of throwing a fastball at someone’s head, he just said it motivated him. Nothing to see here.
Luke-warm take: It’s ok to be annoyed if a guy refuses to shake your hand before the game.
That line about it being a sleepover made me cringe. It’s so self-aware and fake-y. Oh look, she’s so quirky and crazy! But I may not be the audience for this...
God i love “Under the Red Hood” movie Bruce Greenwood is an excellent Batman, Jenson Ackles is an amazing Jason Todd, and even John DiMaggio (Bender!) makes a great Joker (even though no one can beat Mark Hamil)
Is an ‘office griddle’ like a Midwestern thing? This doesn’t seem normal. Do you guys also make casseroles at the office for lunch?
