Yeah, that wasn’t about the bat flip, it was about keeping his finger in the air the whole way around the bases and getting in the catcher’s face at the end. A bat flip is one thing, but what he did was clearly poor sportsmanship.

What I would have loved to see was if the next time that #16 struck out the entire BC bench came out, jumped around the infield, and held their fingers in the air while mouthing off to him as he walked back to the dugout. No need for violence.

Sure. But watching his home run and flipping the bat was only about 20% of what this guy did.

Well how about the whole team pull their pants down and hang their junk out at the pitcher while chanting suck it, suck it, suck it. And why not have the batter go around and spit on every player he runs by in his home run procession? Defense had better keep it to themselves unless they want to be accused of attacking…

I’m all for celebrating and making baseball fun again, this kid just kinda brought it on himself doubling and tripling down on the showboating. At what point is it OK to say this kid’s a jackass who deserves a smack in the mouth?

Brazil don’t have the most talent in this sport at all, let alone by far. Or did you miss the time when they got all the countries together with their most talented teams to see who had the most talent and Brazil got smashed by the country with the most talent in the sport?

Basically every soccer tournament I’ve ever seen. Makes no sense (I beat Haiti by 14 goals and you only beat them by 10, so I get to advance) but there’s lots of stuff about soccer that makes no sense, like there being zero consequences for getting all up in the refs’ faces when they’re trying to talk to each other.
