She has so much support, she should come back.

I sympathize with her too, in spite of her violent act. It doesn't make any it okay though. She needs intensive therapy, and her enablers aren't helping matters.

I don't know. I'm following the story (probably a little too intensely, but not even close to stalker level), not a part of it.

How is Blythe dealing with all of this? It must be so awful for her.

Her mother was falsely accused of sexually assaulting the girl. KH was, I would say traumatized by this based on the choices she makes to this day, and was told by everyone that the girl (Lori) was very troubled and unhappy. I suppose this was said by all as a way to make peace with the incident.

This is the worst solution but the only one I've ever heard. Buy an add with them and they'll take down anything you ask them to remove.

She's a published author too, with a whole support team of PR people.

I can see that, but still creepy. GR is a community, and a lot of the reviewers get friendly with each other. Knocking off twenty years would be huge violation of trust to me.

KH's original issue was that Blythe referred to rape. KH said the story doesn't feature rape. In the comments of the review (Blythe took down the actual review), she states rape and then in parentheses statutory rape. You can edit the reviews you write on GR, but not the comments. KH knew Blythe was referring to

Were you aware of this when it was happening in January? Or are you basing your opinion on The Guardian article? It seems like all of their communications from that time have been deleted (according to Twitter).

Fair enough... How about a weekly column to give her more exposure, which would sell more of books, and make her fabulously wealthy?

The only thing about the reviewer did that truly creeped me out was the fact that she made herself twenty years younger. Hide your identity all you want fellow commenters, but please don't lop off twenty years. There's something so predatory about that.

There's a big difference between looking up old boyfriends on Facebook while in pajamas on a lonely Friday and what Kathleen Hale did.

It's all such a sordid world. In the past two weeks these things also happened.

None of that's true, I promise.

That makes sense! Thank you. I missed Jessica Lange singing last week (fell asleep, embarrassing), but of course she wouldn't appreciate a better voice.

Did you fall asleep?

I need the cutting board.

Don't viruses die out on their own eventually? Example: The Spanish Flu virus doesn't exist anymore? Am I correct? If I am, what's the average "lifespan" of a virus? Will HIV fade away eventually?

You're my new favorite commenter. Who are you and where did you come from?
