So... three of the four articles submitted by these two were "top #" lists. What are we, Cracked.com?
@Brian: Cogito Ergo ZOOM!: I'm certainly not going to try to defend the anti-marijuana zealots out there who think the possessing tiny amounts is worth years and years of jail time, but the "gateway drug" thing is a little bit true, to some extent. I've got a pair of pothead friends who've started experimenting with…
This is why I have a paper (!!!) roadmap of my city. I consult Google streetview often, but by no means take it at its word (or ever use it to *plan* routes)
@Abrahim Ladha: Liquid Metal is bad idea
@alexander_the_car_salamander: Agreed. They're surprisingly compact (~5" shorter than my old '90 Camry was, which was not a large car by any means) and incredibly tough. I was really looking for clean-ish one with a stick shift, but apparently those dont' exist around Minneapolis.
Every now and then, I wonder what sort of management structure exists at DARPA that allows concepts like this to go from the "wouldn't it be cool if...?" whiteboard stage to the "spending millions of dollars" stage without someone stepping in and going "Hey gang: reality check time. @Buckus: No kidding. I'll see a car rolling down the street, and in my head I'm thinking "damn, that is a fine looking luxury sedan". Then I do a double take. "Did I just call a Hyundai a fine looking luxury sedan?"
@parkrndl: I'm not sure if I interpret Chrysler's newer minivans as "attempting to get back to their boxy van root", it's always looked to me like they're trying to look bigger/more SUVish than they really are.
@lilwillie: Soo... You're saying Jalopnik's starred commentators system is meant to showcase trolls and asshats, and not good, well-thought-out comments?
@lilwillie: A message that says "If this is the USA's idea of diplomacy, maybe we should stop letting them run supplies through our country"
