@Famf: My friend used Rosetta Stone to learn some Japanese and he had pretty good results.

@TheFu: That is a sweet top 5.

@Wes: VirtualBox has a portable version. I bet that would work on different computers.

@BenjaminLange: Android. I've used a G1 (running CyanogenMod, which is Android 2.2) and an iPod Touch 3G (jailbroken and running Winterboard)

tl;dr -

@Mr_Quackers: I haven't seen it before but I'm definitely going to try it. I just tracked back to the source article.

I do this all the time. Torrent searches, synonyms and antonyms, and all the tools at network-tools.com

@Taedirk: Same thing with every other single-login service. Being run by the government doesn't change it any.

@nka: Titanium Backup should be able to do it. Install Zeam then use Titanium Backup to uninstall ADW. The first time you run the homescreen after ADW's installation Android will ask what application should be used. Zeam will be the only one to select so you just click it.

Curses, I just traded my G1 with a friend for a few days. I'll install Zeam as soon as I get it back.

Doesn't sound any more dangerous than other implemented systems, it's just run by the government. I would hope that it would be more secure than other systems. I voted "other" because don't like having unified connections to begin with, it doesn't matter who is doing it.

@draper3000: How about trials for apps over "x" dollars?

@Unseelie23: Not a test version, a test service. Something that allows a 24hr testing period before purchase is locked in.

Space needed to function or space needed to settle in? I can easily run on 128GB, I could probably go on 64, but if I'm settling in with music, movies games, and torrents, then give me that nice 1TB at least.

Google Voice all day. Highly functional and worry-free.

Looking very good. I like the swipe-designed boxes for desktops and YouTube. I hope they offer different modes through display options, with that much screen to use I want to be able to play with the UI a bit. A desktop-OS style taskbar would be nice for multitasking.

For being white and minimalist it sure is dark in there. Needs more lighting, perhaps a floor lamp directed so that the light reflects off of the ceiling and illuminates everything.

@ronindemocrat: Looks like simple plates of plexi-glass to me.

Screw you SMS bug, I'm running Google Voice.
