@gthing: The in-flight wireless attack idea is that it will be activated completely remotely, the attacker won't need to be on-board.

@kameoosama: The guitar connects to the computer (which has the spectrum analyzer and control program) through whatever wired method, then the computer emulates a PS3 controller's BT connection and sends signals to the PS3.

Are there any more detailed programs? A "may be dangerous" warning is so vague that it's almost useless. Are there any access monitors, firewalls, file read/write monitors, etc?

@ImperfectLink: You mean you don't talk about stuff like that in normal conversation?

@Louis Tovar: Hm, I see. To get something accurate you'd have to give everyone the exact same guitar with exact same properties. That still wouldn't solve the problems presented in your second paragraph.

@dcdean1: I thought about those points before but it seems like too much of a hassle for little benefit. Setting a timer to detonate longer into the flight would counteract delays. I don't know how plane loading goes, but the attacker could possibly just wait until the plane lands to start the timer. A basic timer is

@thefncrow: The makes sense, on a videogame they would need almost no latency. That would require custom drivers (MME drivers seriously blow). USB or Firewire input might reduce lag.

@jdale: I'm trying to save a couple bucks, not cheat, but that is a good idea.

Normal guitar + spectrum analyzer + scripting + Bluetooth output. It's entirely possible, but has anybody ever done anything like it?

I remember reading something about how there's a chemical present in the outside atmosphere that boosts the immune system. Any know anything about that? I don't remember where I got it from.

@blyan-reloaded: It is crap, removing in-flight wifi will do almost nothing. They're locking the windows while leaving the front door wide open.

I see tons of holes that removing in-flight wifi would not cover. Using in-flight wifi for a bomb is a pretty stupid idea compared to the multitude of other activators available.

Mac Mini would be killer if it was a lot cheaper. Low energy consumption coupled with respectable specs makes it very nice for the hidden network server or TV-hookup, but at that price it's just not worth it.

@Akesan: Because Apple likes jipping people. A good example is the MacBook Air: Australians pay 1200 AUD for the MB Air while Americans pay 1000 USD, even though the exchange rate on the two currencies is currently 1:1.

@paravorheim: Yeah, information gets distorted as it passes from source to source. This is a fairly good example of how things warp as they change hands.

@Che-poodle: Read the 2nd source article, the Gizmodo writer copied it incorrectly.

@Joe: South Park.

@Sandeep Gonsalves: There are a few 1-click root programs out there, which will definitely speed up the process. "Universal Androot" is an easy Android app to handle rooting.

They did not breed dragonflies with 70cm wignspans, that is the wingspan of dragonflies that existed in the Paleozoic era. The exact size of the bred dragonflies is not mention.

@Sandeep Gonsalves: You haven't rooted your G1 and installed Cyanogen? Get on it bro, 2.2 all the way.
