You guys don’t have this alkylate gasoline just for this sort of things (we call it small applience gas)?

Our ex-prime minister had el camino with wood gas :D.
Every Ferrari after Dino and excluding Roma? At best they’ve been imposing after that, but not even remotely pretty.
Yeah, I think Kathleen could have been better. The character was left pretty thin and I had hard time believing she was a tough as nails resistance leader. Some back story would have helped.
Or perhaps they could just make pretty cars instead of angry?
The whole discussion has been regarding this original comment I responded: “why does that just seem awfully low to me. Like I know performance isn’t the point of this car, but nearly 7 seconds to 62mph?”
I didn’t say it was ruined by EV conversion, I claimed it would be ruined by makeing it more powerful than what they already made. 0-100km/h in sub 7 seconds is plenty fast for this sort of classic.
No edgyness intended, just frustrated why people want to ruin perfectly good classics by trying to make them Tesla-killers.
Still and extra ton and half extra on old frame. It’s old lovely relatively rare car. It’s already got enough power to do what it’s meant to do and adding more power would hardly make it better.
Totally agree, the original Pitch Black was very nice scifi action flick. And it helped that it came totally out of bushes.
Sure, but if you look at those wheels, the disks are tiny. That means limited power and easy overheating.
Totally. It’s just natures way of getting rid of the most stupid. Who are we to stop it?
Also worth noting is that not only that it’s almost doubled it’s original weight (as noted already), it still has original wheels so it cannot have much in way of brakes. Most likely not original, but still not a lot of brakes.
I think problem Land Rover (and car manufacturers over all apart from Morgan) do not seem to get, that not every car needs to be made from same mold and to be able to excel in similar manner in every task. Being bad something or doing things just for styles sake is what makes some things great. This is very well…
Yeah, no. Just no. There’s always better places to bang. Hell take the car & partner to camping site and do it in tent if you cannot get hotel room.
Those start around 16k€ in the central europe. And even here in the land of hefty car taxation it’s less than 20k. So I don’t think anybody cares much what they do after 10 years. Altough the rule of thumb goes: smaller the french car is, better and more reliable it is. And these small Peogeots & citroens are actually…
My problem with this is the source of engines&power trains. I mean if they aim for the rugger market, the obvious choise would be Toyota diesels or gas powered engines from Land Cruiser/Hilux or even Mercedes V6 six diesels. OM606 I6 would have been better, but obviously do not comply with current emission standards.
With loss of a wagon the Accord have no longer been pretty much sold at all here in nordics. Prior ‘08 with the (albeit ugly) 7th gen accord wagon was very popular in it’s segment. With 8th gen the trunk was so small (but it looked good) that it wasn’t really selling. And after that when the gen 9 came, I don’t think…
I almost got the V90 T8 for company car. However the waiting list was over a year. Ordered Skoda Enyaq (ID4 AWD with more physical buttons). Was supposed to be 4 month wait and now 17 months later, it might or might not have been built this week :D.
