VW was pretty fucked what comes to supply issues. I ordered Skoda Enyaq 4x4 (ID4 with less touchy stuff and bigger boot) on october 2021. Delivery time estimate was 4 months. Then it was 10. Then it was unknown. Now it might be built on week 5. So perhaps end of february I’ll get it :/.
Some might consider recalls a good thing. Manufacturer admits problem and takes a step to correct them.
I think they could perhaps make some acronym. SSY, or KGMG, or something. They SSangYoung doesn’t really roll in your mount either and atleast for nordic person it’s super hard to remember.
Saw a Taycan SportTurismo few weeks back in a bit similar paint (it was not quite strong pink, more like a hit of pink) and it looked amazing. Especially against snow.
I kinda hoped you were joking. But you never know in US based forum :D.
I don’t think that’s even remotely feasible as they are not road legal most likely anywhere.
It really underlines how weird it is that Alfa hasn’t made a coupe out of it. I mean it’s such a low hanging fruit.
I read that and got excited that he would be making Hyperion as in excellent book by Dan Simmons. Apparently not.
Might be a packaging issue. I think Chris Harris made a video about the tech and if i recall correctly the engine bay was already streched for this version. And I6 is significantly longer engine.
Volvo had the V60 diesel hybrid on this side of the pond and Peugeot also had some model. Both were epicly frugal, but atleast the V60 was total shitshow what came to reliability. Don’t think much of that was due diesel as they mostly sell them as diesels anyho and they are fine.
Personally I have no interest in “smoking” people in lights. EV:s are for people that need this sort of ego boost.
One of the problems is that it still gets so little funding. Decade a go it was only 10B$/y globally, which is peanuts compared to any large _corporation_ R&D budget. I mean one is supposed to solve world energy issues, other is making tablets that one can masturbate on bigger screen. Big things, both, but I would…
Personally I think triples are the best of all worlds. Torque of twin and top end of i4. And better soundtrack than either.
If they would also make a wagon, it would definitely be on my shopping list in 3 years. I have no use for sedans and model y is abomination with not that big trunk.
Oh, I’ve lived on both decades. However this is rather over the top.
Man, this has to be most brown listing so far.
Not to mention that thing would be actually rather practical year round sports car. In addition to looking amazing.
Ex co-worker and the 304 as offroad camper here in Finland. They did rallies in russia and apparently it was awesome, but the fuel cost were biblical. I mean 40l/100km were pretty regular. Also very, very, slow. I think the top speed was like 80km/h and even that was horrible. That’s old offroad military trucks for…
Any special reason? Personally I find the sleek wagon profile better looking than sedan. And the added cargo space is of course the main attraction as I personally need car mostly to haul sports stuff and people for long distances. Most of my daily stuff is either by bicycle or motorcycle or by walking.
