Why are so keen on pointing out that the Haas livery is based on the Russian flag, but totally omit that fact the Alpines colors are obviously based on France’s blue white and red?

And when us ‘good’ guys hear a “friend” making crass remark, cat calling, harassment  or witness a bad behavior, it’s our job to tell the ‘friend’ he’s being an asshole. Assholes take silences and inaction as approbation.

Why do they have to add these ugly protruding trunks to reasonably proportioned hatchbacks?

Meh. Am French, learned English and (a little) German. I can manage with English, but German has an incredibly steep learning curve from the beginning (well at least the way it was taught to me). I can’t make a simple sentence correctly since I won’t be able to use proper genders or grammatical cases.

So close! The people’s car: das Volks Wagen. Volkswagen.

I do see the similarity. But I’m more shocked at how bad it looks in this picture from the back:

I do like the first 1936 one.

You say Peugeot is hard to spell, but can you spell the full VW name from memory?

No, he clames humans are animals too.

I now realize, that the name comes directly from the tribe, (as opposed to places that give their names to people). So indeed this point is in favor or renaming the car.

I’m not planning of dying on any hill, especially on this subject. The trouble ending being is that some people don’t even want to have a conversation on this subject.

We say “Equine-American” now.

Thanks, this answer makes more sense than what was replied before by an other commenter. I’m aware I tend to lose my stray away from good faith and objectivity when antagonized by this kind.

Then every other localities would deserve the same compensation, right ?

Never said he couldn’t voice an opinion, He can say whatever he wants”

That’s an old model. I may be wrong but this imagery is not used anymore.

Okay, you’re really into playing the victim, here, after you decided who’s allowed to voice an opinion or not, called the guy an “asshole”, and with a holier-than-thou attitude. This is condescending (“noted, and disregarded”, FFS) and antagonizing; which is what you reproach him with.

You’re not being very open to discussion with ad persona attacks and accusations, while it is possible to have a civilized and matter-of-fact conversation.

Being offended doesn’t mean the other party did something wrong. People are something offended by benign things.

Barons and Marquis from Versailles are petitioning, people from Monte Carlo in the French Riviera join their neighbors from Corsica in solidarity. From Malibu to Monza voices are being raised in support of Deauville and Plymouth.
