I think most motorsports could be considered a controlled crash.

I had to watch that a few times because it doesn’t behave like it hit the rotor first. If you look he actually lands right on top of one of those pylons and it tips him to the side then he strikes the pub. It makes you wonder even more so why he thought he could land there.
