I was just about to watch this tonight, so thanks for spoiling it I guess?  Do I have to stop looking at Kinja full stop until the season ends now??

Soooo... are spoilers just a thing of the past now?  It was on LAST NIGHT... I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet :/  Not that this is a huge reveal this early in the contest, but pleeeaaase consider having a spoiler tag and hiding stuff so it doesn’t just show up in my rss feeds with all the spoilery info?  Please?

Okay, maybe don’t spoil the episode with the banner pic and headline? Especially for those of us who watch the show on Hulu the next day. I mean FFS, it was the first article on Kotaku this morning.

Greedfall is not making a purposeful commentary about the difficult nature of social change in the face of concentrated power structures. It’s not. I can’t stress that enough. It simply isn’t. It. Is. Not. Doing. That.

Same issue as with selling the maps piecemeal. You split the player base between those with the season pass, and those without. It’s a huge acceleration towards a game reaching “not enough people are playing it for me to bother queueing” territory.

Look at it this way: The microtransactions are there to pay for stuff that doesn’t exist yet, namely new maps or game modes or such that they’re going to release in the future. Releasing new maps helps keep the multiplayer game interesting and fresh, but selling the maps themselves splits communities and tends to

Eh I wouldn’t go that far. I liked Wooly World, and Crafted World is even better. Neither are anywhere near as good as the original, but they are both good games. I’d maybe even describe Crafted World as “great”. Maybe.

From the article:

He didn’t say that it can’t be out on Games with Gold. He said that it’s on Game Pass, not that it can’t be on Gold. I just don’t get it when people like you say crap out of the blue like that.

It’s really not that weird to think of a VR headset as a blindfold. Even under friendly, safe conditions, have someone touch you while you’re in VR is unsettling much like being touched while blindfolded or in total darkness.

Hacking your Vita is worth it just to be able to use a micro SD card adapter that is faster, larger, and cheaper than the official storage cards. Seriously, even if you have no intention of ever doing anything illegal, do that.

Nonsense.

Still some bullshit.

To the commentators

Since we’re all missing the point I’ll jump in. If the Latinx person wants to use the term Latinx, why does anyone (especially anyone not Latinx) care? I’m sure you have better things to do than scream impotently into the void that your opinion matters. You don’t see me asking you to not embody the

“While some of what I’ve said was definitely bad for PR, I stand behind it. A portion of the gaming community is indeed horrendously toxic, entitled, immature, irrationally-angry, and prone to joining hate mobs over any inconsequential issue they can cook up. That was proven again through this entire experience. It

Dude.... This article wasn’t even about Epic man. It was about the indie studio and how they have been harassed to no end for simply doing the smart choice of taking an exclusivity deal that’s beneficial for them. It’s easy to talk about integrity and not selling out, but making games is fucking hard man.

I’m not a fan of the practices of any of these platforms with the exception of Itch.io. Apple, Android, Steam, EA, Epic and all of them are all trying to create walled gardens where they can reduce price competition while keeping the retailer cut as high as possible.

I’m just here for the comments where someone tries to defend NOT installing a free client that doesn’t effect them in the least, and how I’m the idiot for not seeing “the truth”.

I find it puzzling that most folks tend to think that because a mobile game of a PC or Console franchise was released that this game will replace the others and that from that point onwards all games of that IP will be released for mobile. Guys, chill out, it’s an extra game on the series, a mobile spin-off. Diablo

At best it's a mean spirited joke, at worst it's just... Dumb.
