It’s about a video game on a news site about video games. I argue the same about regular news once upon a time. The Turks and Shinra, er I mean Syria have been at it for years. Is it news? Yes. Yes it is.

imo it makes sense to cover these massive personalities even when they’re not fucking up super bad. tons of people pay attention to them, and if they’re used to actual coverage they might not flip the fuck out whenever a major site writes about how they said the n word or whatever

It wasn’t an origins story though, it was a reboot featuring a character very distinctly different from the previous canon.

To be fair, that was really the sentiment in the 90s, thru the 2000s.

If words and phrases no longer have any offensive connotations to 99.9% of people, why bother? Languages evolve over time, these phrases have completely divorced themselves from their origins. Literally no one is complaining about this.

Nagasu was my favourite of the US skaters but aside from that one US tournament Wagner outskated her all year.
