I would argue that unless a White person in the U.S. knows their exact roots, their ethnicity would be, “European American”.. I also use, “Anglo-American” to signify the specific culture that has developed here in the U.S. among the Europeans who immigrated and *dominated* the culture even if they weren’t Anglo saxons.
