I recommend the steam version for sure, there is the Memoria Mod to change the font, Moguri Mod for HD backgrounds, and you can make the battles 60FPS with Memoria but it looks bad to me because the animations are sped up. The original animations were made at 15FPS so they would have to remake the animations at 60FPS…

I really wish this could be done for Chrono Cross. The painted style of the art would perfectly suit the look that the up-scaling creates, to me the grittyness of FF7 doesn’t match it well. But Square doesn’t seem to care to release a PC version :(
