Yeah, I got at least one response to my comments that basically said that: “removing the roots of a corrupt system, and when that happens male and female disparity disappears”. Just like that. So focus on economics and shut up about abortion already.

Sorry, but your last sentence illustrates why she lost: it really was the Bernie Bros. and the #NeverHillarys on the left. “removing the roots of a corrupt system, and when that happens male and female disparity disappears” — well you’re definitely a Bernie supporter and that statement is kind of ironic given what

Even worse, to me, is that “one issue” the Bern-bots kept harping on about “Shillary” being in the “pocket” of Wall Street.

If you live in Omaha you have to vote for the guy that voted for a requirement that a Dr. be present for every abortion. This vote was to prevent women from having a medical abortion. He’s a Democrat and he promises he won’t ever try to legislate against us again. Or you vote for the Republican that definitely will do

That’s missing the point by a mile. No one said the popular vote wins the presidency (what is it with straw men comments?).

Your guy lost by 4 million votes in an election of 30 million, while Hillary, while she lost, bested Trump in the popular vote by 3 million in a much larger pool of voters. So shut up now.

Scandal after scandal and she still won more votes. The cold/not-well-liked thing is a media myth. She consistently polled as one of the most admired women in US history.

Yes, and those people are fucking dumb and deserve ridicule. Same with anyone who voted third party in an election that decided whether at least some of their ideals would actually be applied or not. I preferred Bernie’s platform to Hillary’s because much of it was way more progressive, but when the choice was between

Bernie had the populist leverage but little else. I have no doubt most Hillary supporters would have voted Bernie in the general but I’m not convinced Bernie would have won over Trump’s populist-based supporters. He had too many weaknesses that Trump’s people would have exploited.

Nice straw man: not what I said at all.

But that doesn’t mean that Bernie has to roll out his support for the guy, and dismiss the importance of this issue.

Nice deflection. In any event, if she DID, she’d be called on it. In fact, she’d be crucified. Bernie gets a pass though, as per usual. But. Her. Emails.

Giving you all of the high fives right now.

This kills me EVERY time. Specifically because Bernie himself had a campaign run by white men at the top, with white men overall getting paid far better than any women or POC who worked for him. Tell me, Bernie, how can income equality solve racism and sexism if even you won’t hire women and POCs in high ranking

This is the core belief in the Bernie cult. HOW DARE YOU.

Whenever people say this tell them a stat just came out that people’s votes for Trump were based on racism more than income equality or immigration. So no Democratic (or Republican primary) candidate stood a chance unless they were spewing the racist shit that the rest of America found “refreshing.”

The more i see of bernie sanders the less I like him. He has some ideas that are progressive, by american standards. he aslo doens’t seem to care about actually getting them implemented as long as people still like him.

He’s pretty much the old school pre alt right definition of social justice warrior. He lives for

“But what if he is right? What if getting anti-choice democrats elected in places like Omaha will have an overall positive effect on progressive issues, including abortion?”

Please don’t see this as a gender thing. Some people just aren’t good at winning elections. Elizabeth Warren is better than Martha Coakley. A lot of people, male and female, are apparently better than Hillary.

She won more votes than many recent presidents. She only lost because of poorly distributed ballots based on an archaic system that favours rural voters over urban (i.e. the majority). And I’m not even mentioning the possibility of Russian interference and/or rigging on behalf of Trump.
