The screenwriter took a lot of liberties with the facts of the case. The following scenes were nowhere in Black Mass, the source material: 1. Connolly and the Bulgers never had Christmas dinner together; they were not this close. (I practically spit out my Coke and said "what?!" when this scene played in the movie).

Yeah, priests/pastors that run congregations in small towns actually make themselves useful sometimes, whether it's planting gardens, counseling people, or just being community organizers. I fail to see where his cloak of religion as I guess the resident spiritual leader serves a purpose beyond him being allowed to be

which reminds me, Carol should have claimed to be a nurse so she could get next to Pete the Domestically Violent Doctor and make her move. We know she was the go-to person for Hershel's amputation and after-care, popped a shoulder back in, etc.

To be fair, they've all had to have some primitive medical involvement, whether it's amputations, blood-transfusions, or emergency C sections so far.

where is this prison you speak of? who's shed are they ultimately going to detain him in?

The guy is clearly an alcoholic, and unstable and threatening when he's drinking. I think that's reason enough for the kid to be scared. He may not be hitting the mom - I still think there's a bit of Carol projecting her own situation onto theirs, perhaps out of guilt that she didn't kill her ex-husband and save her

That's an interesting theory that I hadn't actually thought of - luring them in so they can be cannon fodder on runs. Maybe Deanna hadn't anticipated being unable to exert a certain amount of control over Rick. She's a 'soft pressure' politician, he's a 'hard pressure' (as in, direct violence) guy. She seems pretty

Is it me, or was there some flirtation going on between her and Abraham last week?
I was all about Michonne and Daryl hooking up for a long time, as I think they'd be a great badass couple. But now I'm leaning toward Daryl and Aaron developing some sort of connection that becomes romantic. I'm not kidding.

I thought the doctor himself was going to be with Rick. So much weird body language in that scene (alcohol-induced of course)

wait…exiled??! I must have missed that. And nobody from the main group noticed or said anything?

I think they're too in the friend zone now and the time for 'shipping has passed. they're war brothers now.

nope, no red dirt in dc.

He's great when they give him something to work with. That whole fight scene with the douchetards was badass. I wish they'd give him more scenes than that - he needs more people to bounce off of than Maggie.

Cuddlitz is just coming off the end of Southland, which he should have been Emmy nominated for. I'm sure he wasn't hurting for offers.

I think they're lucky enough to pull off the "it's summer year round" thing with time-jumps between seasons, even in the north. But I agree that it would be nice to see some weather variation and how zombies and survivors alike handle it.

Seriously, Rick is terrible at picking up on flirtatious vibes. She wakes up and goes to the window, "I can't sleep either, sooooo…" come on now. DO something Rick!

I never understood what was going on with the radio broadcast in Tyrese's hallucinations. Can someone explain that part to me? (sorry it's OT).

also, Rick being unable to sleep, and going to the kitchen for a knife, definitely got me thinking about combat PTSD and others who have had traumatic experiences, the lack of sleep and the on-alert/fight or flight mentality that is still there.

I don't think they are underestimating anyone there. I think that even though they're all enjoying the showers and new clothes, they're still pretty cautious.

Yeah, the video thing was weird. I mean, I get the whole transparency thing but….is she that delusional to think that it's going to matter in the post-apocalypse?
