Please know my intention was not to speculate on Dolly’s private life in an is-she-or-isn’t she sense — I honestly don’t care once way or the other. I’m just saying that the rumors about Dolly’s sexuality, if true, add another layer to whatever it is Aimee Lutkin here finds objectionable about what Dolly said.

Oh, it is a silly speculation, in that who cares if it’s real; Dolly is awesome regardless. I just thought about the gossip in light of the author’s last paragraph here. (BTW I also really don’t find what Dolly said above to be anything close to the “most self-aggrandizing nightmare statement of all time.”)

What? I’m not saying Dolly is a closeted lesbian because she is a LGBT ally. I’m saying she might be one because the gossip rags and columns have been hinting that she is for over a quarter century now.

If I were famous I’d want to hide everything about myself too, but I’m saying that when a huge, global superstar is in a long-term marriage that the public knows nothing about, it isn’t automatically indicative of the marriage being “real.” If Dolly is hiding her true sexuality (emphasis on if — I am just spitballing…

But (and I’m speaking hypothetically) I don’t think a 40-year marriage that no one ever hears anything about to some dude that no one ever sees is solid evidence that’s it’s a real heterosexual union, necessarily. If anything it might be indicative of a platonic arrangement that works for both parties.

I’m not a Dollyologist by any stretch of the imagination, so maybe someone can speak to this more specifically and not based on gossip, but I have been reading for years, decades even, that Dolly herself is a closeted lesbian. Which, if true, adds a whole other layer of hmm to her comments above.

Willow does model! Quite a bit, actually. And unlike most celebrity offspring who shall remain nameless, she’s very good at it. I held on the issue of Teen Vogue with Willow on the cover (may 2016) and I usually recycle my fash rags faithfully.

It’s totally not the same! It’s black, for starters, which makes it a lot more generic than Nicki’s amazing sapphire blue here, and it’s short, which .. meh. Obviously JLo looks great but that’s all due to her being great-looking — the dress is kind of irrelevant. Nicki, OTOH, looks beautiful and is serving us…
