@Eternal: The easiest way to tell the difference is the 'i' sound at the end. If it's short and clipped (kowai!), it's "scary". If it's long and drawn out (kawaIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII...!!!!), then it's "cute"
