For a new, expensive train 160km/h is a bit paltry. Plenty for most standard speed tracks (as long as it’s not too damn heavy!) but if i’d take the route Amsterdam to Berlin, my luxury train would have to be switched to a siding to let the standard plebeian standard Intercity pass at 200km/h. Let alone the ICE.
I’d

The benefit of having your own train is that you can decide yourself where to stop. Imagine you’re in your luxury pullman car (good choice!) and you’re sitting, waiting because of delays...
Nope. If i were filthy rich, i’d have them clear a path with a good amount of margin for me. Hell, perhaps just buy two time

Yes they would, as long as you pay for it. In Europe they’re like toll roads but with pre planned traffic.
As long as you can slot into the schedule, you can hire a driver and hire/buy a train and travel wherever you want. But regular traffic has priority. You will not be able to travel to Amsterdam or Utrecht at

Haven’t looked up the numbers myself, but apparently the new mail truck can carry twice the weight of the old LLV.
Fully loaded it would be considerably more economical.
I reckon that if you would limit the power to the 90ish hp of the LLV, that you’d also get much better fuel economy.

That said: WHY THE FUCK DOES A

That new Ford Puma looks pretty good.

I think this is indeed the best option. As sad as it is, maintaining an almost century old ocean liner sitting in the water, just on a city budget sounds impossible to me.

Demand that your regulators make it possible to shove more modern engines in your planes then.
It’s ridiculous that airplane piston engine tech has not been ‘allowed’ to progress since the 1960s. I know why that is, it’s because of the strict regulations that mean every little stupid detail has to be reviewed in a

Those tunnels would be excellent when filled with a couple hundred bicycles and electric motorcycles tbh.
Bicycle tunnels work pretty well. The Maastunnel in Rotterdam doesn’t have a lot of congestion AFAIK and has a shitton of users.
Once you get the hang of it, taking your bicycle on the escalator is easy. If you’re

Fox news watcher spotted.

Ah, the company that used a Ducati commercial/teaser to advertise their very non ducati bike?

Interesting, but why is it so slow? Is that the maximum speed of the track it’s rolling on?
I’m used to little diesel trains going 100km/h even in the ruralest of rural areas, unless the distance between stations is so small that it can’t accelerate to full speed before already having to brake.

Still, life in prison is ridiculous for a situation that in essence is caused by the company pressuring drivers to use shitty equipment.
Yes, he deserves prison. No, not for his whole life.

I see snow, so i think it’s likely roads are salted.
An S Cargo doesn’t do well on salty roads. Pun not intended, those Micra based cars rust like hell.

How come they still have batteries from 2017 sitting around?

Different countries, different transport requirements. Nivas are not highway machines, not even in their original form.
These things make much more sense in places where the roads are dirt or mud, where the speed limit is more of challenge than a limit.
There are various other Russian commercial vehicles that have

The military is super socialist. All those military bases run on tax money, with lots of health care, schooling and food all paid for by the state! Hell, the military bases don’t even *try* to make a profit!
Perhaps we should have the for profit prison companies run it, because that would be the capitalist way to do

The germans made some big improvements by having 4 wheels, and by using conventional front wheel steering instead of rear wheel steering.
The dymaxion was practically undrivable due to the rear wheel steering. There should be a video about a running dymaxion replica somewhere

Now try a Yamaha Niken. Of all the three wheelers, that one is definitely the most attractive one imho.
Also it tilts, solving the biggest issue (tippyness and the body load of centrifugal forces) of the ‘rigid’ three wheelers.

Yep. Adblockers are what keeps you sane. I visited Jalopnik on my new work computer and i was taken aback by the obnoxiousness of ads. Within an hour i gave up trying to power through and installed adblockplus.
I could deal with ye olde banners of 15 years ago. I could tolerate pop unders, as long as they were quiet.

2.5 liter turbodiesel with 62hp? That sounds odd. Didn’t believe it till i searched around a bit.
Why bother with a turbo, if you have that much displacement and that low a power requirement?!
