Because of my love for all Ghibli things, I’d love to play Ni No Kuni (both of them, but starting with the first). Thing is, according to HowLongToBeat it seems to be really, really long. And I always end up taking about twice as long to finish any game than HowLongToBeat thinks I should.

Oh dear god does it feel prescient.

Off this theme, for a moment: the Lady McLurk and I are expecting our second child pretty much any time now. So there’s a decent chance of another run through DAO coming up, this time played almost exclusively in night-time hours.

A deep mushroom or deathroot plant’s juice can cause a rash. When pruning them it’s a good idea to wear gloves.

I just had no choice but to make you pay for those health poultices the other day. I’m really sorry.

Hi Jack. I know you’re on a dangerous infiltration mission in which American democracy and maybe reality itself are being exposed as a sham, but if you don’t mind I’d like to stop you for a minute while I ask some Voight-Kampff questions about where our relationship is going.”

No mate, that’s not how it works on the internet. You’re supposed to double down and angrily insist that you’re right, then declare yourself the winner after I make a minor spelling mistake.

It might not be the advice, but it was one of the questions:

So after I finished DA:O again a few weeks ago I was totally going to write up some more detailed thoughts on it, but the moment’s passed now so they’ll just wait until the next time I replay it.

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven’t been around much over the last couple of months. June and July are a very busy time for me at work, and my boss - unconscionably - had a few Fridays there where he actually came into the office. Then on holiday last week. Did I miss anything important?

Old World Blues is my second favourite DLC of anything, right behind ME3's Citadel DLC.

There’s a Talon company outpost in a building near there (not a “Location” but I think it’s marked on your mini map). I highly recommend sneaking in and throwing a couple of grenades at them.

The Sewer Waystation! Love it. Though I think my favourite “designers having some fun here” location is the lair of the feral ghoul who collects plungers.

Think so - probably why it was so difficult to muddle through.

Not sure whether that’s before or after me.

I’m old school enough that I disapprove of “builds” in D&D.

Sorry for late reply; left early on Friday. Mine too, probably; it’s a toss-up between DA:O and Civilization II. Like anything, the more I play it the more holes I can poke in it, but overall I still think it’s a really well thought out and put together game.

This weekend I’ll be playing on the beach with my daughter, while my wife puts on white pajamas and takes part in a karate course in Portland. That’s Portland, Dorset - which is a small island just off England’s south coast.

They should have Rastafied him by... ten percent or so.

I think the main quest line for Fallout 3 not unfairly gets a bit of stick. But there’s more to life in the Wasteland than following main quests.
